| The ASICS® GEL-DS Trainer® 17 running shoe provide a lightweight, supportive ride. This updated model adds ASICS'® Guidance Line, which helps the foot maintain an efficient path through the gait cycle. The upper features the proprietary Clutch Collar System for a comfortable and secure rearfoot fit. Open mesh upper. Biomorphic Fit® features stretch material strategically placed on the upper which helps to reduce buckling and the potential for irritation. Asymmetrical lacing design helps reduce the potential for irritation and provides improved comfort and fit. Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.®) employs linked componentry that enhances the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe-off. Propulsion Trusstic System® mimics connective tissue in the foot by creating tension as foot enters propulsion stage. Space Trusstic System® creates a pocket between the Trusstic System® device and the midsole, allowing for controlled midsole deformation and more efficient foot function. Guidance Line helps the foot maintain an efficient path through the gait cycle. ASICS® High Abrasion Rubber (AHAR®) is located in the heel and is a carbon rubber that offers exceptional durability.DuraSponge® is located in the forefoot and is a blown AHAR® compound that delivers cushioning, responsiveness, and flexibility.
